Positive and another positive equals a negative... wait, that's not right. This is basically a followup video on "How to capture in v2". The video offered little explanation for the sorcery shown, and only those with deep mechanical knowledge of EBF 5 would have been able to understand it. Capturing may be the mechanic most often misunderstood, partially due to in game clues being easy to miss. Questions on how to capture foes and what exactly contributes how much towards capturing are very frequent on the EBF discord server. The part that needs to be understood to follow this video is that the capture score is a product of several separate multipliers, most prominently the "status" and "buff/debuff" multipliers. Obviously positive status effects and buffs are detrimental to the multiplier, and can result in negative multipliers. This will generally mean a subzero capture score with no chance of capturing, unless you make both of them negative and end up with a positive final value. Now, due to foe auto revive being reserved for a single foe only, the most positive statuses you can get on a normal foe only gives you a -0.4 multiplier, and due to the difficulty of getting them all on one foe at once, you'll normally be limited to -0.2 if even that. Cat Warrior is one of the few foes in the game that defend, they get Brave when defending in hard difficulty or above, Cat Wizard casts a buff on allies that has Good Luck, and remix Love Blade has Regen as a weapon status. Cats also have a naturally high capture score, making capture possible even with the 0.2 multiplier to capture score. It's not without complications however, cats can only use defend once per battle and things don't always line up the way you expect it to. The video shows a very lucky run where a warrior who didn't use defend gets two casts of buffs and leaves him with 6x Good Luck, but you can be resetting battle for quite some time until you can pull it off.
