He initially appeared in small roles, occasionally working as a stuntman, but over time, his roles began to grow. His talent was recognized, and he soon became a master character actor. This stern-looking, wooden-faced man, thanks in part to his appearance, would star in many films. His first major breakthrough came in 1953 in the film Dracula in Istanbul, directed by Mehmet Muhtar. His portrayal of a cemetery keeper earned him considerable acclaim.
