Evolution of Biomedical Engineering | Logan Hamilton | TEDxSouthlake
Join Logan and discover how biomedical engineering has evolved beyond big corporations: from 3D printing to grassroots innovation, anyone - even a kid can be today's medical game-changer Logan Hamilton, a senior at Carroll Senior High School and a TEDx speaker this October, delved into the expansive field of biomedical engineering last year. He is in the baseball and barbecue team for the school. Getting interested and learning around early last year from a close friend, He was introduced into the world of biomedical engineering and was fortunate enough to learn some of the ins and outs of the field. Biomedical engineering, or the designing and creation of medical technologies for hospitals and the health care industry, takes in tens of billions of dollars each year, and with 1000s of different specialties and fields inside biomedical engineering, the possibilities for innovation are limitless. Taking what he has learned and experienced over these last couple of years, he will be sharing the story of how biomedical engineering is constantly evolving and how we, the residents of southlake, are affected every day by this field. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
