Windsor is a town with a rich history dating back over a thousand years. It's most famous for the Windsor Castle, a royal residence for over 900 years. The castle has been home to many members of the royal family throughout history, including Queen Victoria, who spent much of her reign there. The town is also home to Windsor Great Park, which covers over 4,800 acres of beautiful scenery. Eton is a small town located on the opposite side of the River Thames from Windsor. It's famous for its prestigious public school, Eton College, founded by King Henry VI in 1440. The school has produced many famous alumni, including former British Prime Ministers David Cameron and Boris Johnson. Our tour starts at the famous Long Walk and Cambridge Gate. As we make our way around the castle, you'll see locals and tourists alike enjoying the beautiful weather in the many pubs and restaurants in the area. You'll also notice the town decorated with numerous Union Jack flags, as preparations were underway for the coronation of King Charles III just a few days ago. Heading towards the River Thames, we'll cross the bridge and arrive in Eton. The town is known for its stunning architecture, with many historic buildings and landmarks, including the Chapel of St. John the Evangelist, built in the 15th century. Finally, our tour ends at Eton College, where you'll learn about the prestigious institution and its impressive history. The school is known for its beautiful architecture and elite education, with a fee of approximately 45,000 pounds per year. Thank you for joining me on this fascinating tour of Windsor and Eton.
