If you have hard minerals in your tap water or fine sediment, make sure to use higher grade water filter that can filter down to 1 micron and also that has inhibitor for scale. If mineral concentration is above 200PPM, or if you plan to have high running hours, use water softener along with 1 micron (or better) filter.
