Royal Bards (1926)

Full title reads: "Royal bards - Albert of Eforg, and Betsi of Efrog, initiated members of Gorsedd at Welsh National Eisteddfod". Duke and Duchess of York in druidic ceremony. Swansea, Wales. M/S of a procession druidic looking types in robes, some holding banners. Some of the druids carry a bronze statuette of a dragon. High angled L/S of a crowd gathered in a park. They are watching the druids perform some sort of ceremony. Various shots of druidic ceremony. A sword is presented to the chief druid (wearing laurrel wreath) who gives a speech. The chief druid is then presented with a pipe made from bull's horn. C/U of chief speaking. M/S of chief druid standing between Duke of York (Prince Albert) and Duchess of York (Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon).
