My mom’s birthday is this month, and although she passed away in October 2023, I still love finding meaningful ways to celebrate her life, beauty, and creativity. In today’s video, Hot New Beauty I’d Give My Mom, I’m taking you on a journey through her makeup drawer and revisiting some of the beauty products she truly loved. Coping with grief is complicated at any age, but remembering the little things that brought someone joy can be such a comforting way to keep their spirit close. My mom was 81 and had dry skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and some hair thinning, so she appreciated makeup and beauty products that were comfortable, flattering, and easy to use. Along with her longtime makeup favorites, I’m “updating” her drawer with hot new makeup and mature-friendly formulas I wish I could give her today. There have been so many exciting new makeup releases since she passed, including modern complexion products, soft blush balms, easy lip formulas, and other beauty innovations I know she would have enjoyed trying.
