From Colours to bubbles - 6 Easy Melt & Pour Soap Recipes for Stunning Results
Welcome To The Melt Pour Soap Making Series Today we are going to see 6 different Soap formulations 2 different ways to increase lather in your melt pour soap 4 different ways to colour your Soaps Soap base - Herbs & Organic https://www.instagram.com/herbsandorg... 1) Honey 🍯 soap Goat milk soap base - 98 g Raw honey - 1g Honey fragrance oil - 1 g Cut the soap base into small pieces and melt it using the double boiler method. Add the honey and fragrance oil and pour into the silicone mould. Here we used honey as a natural way to increase lather but over usage of honey can lead to many problems like attracting ants to soap sweating. 2) Surfactants In Melt Pour Soap Here we are using surfactants to increase lather without the drawbacks of honey and it's very easy to use you can add any kinds of surfactants to your melt pour soap. Here I have used a liquid surfactant. Goat milk soap base - 98 g Capb - 1 g Coconut fragrance oil - 1 g Here also I have used liquid colours to show another soap problem that is called colour bleeding here i used 2 liquid colours green and blue later it caused colour bleeding I have shared a tutorial on how to prevent colour bleeding in your soap. Cut the soap base into small pieces and melt it using the double boiler method. Add the Capb with fragrance mixture separate them into 2 containers add colour and mix it well and pour into the silicone mould. 3) Ultramarine Soap I love purple basically anything from violet family but achieving the perfect purple is hard so I'm trying to colour this soap using ultramarine purple Here I directly added the ultramarine after melting the soap . But there are little colour spots are there because of uneven mixing of colours. Always premix your colour with essential oil or fragrance oil or isopropyl alcohol or directly add to the base . Cut the glycerine soap base into small pieces and melt it using the double boiler method. Add the Ultramarine purple and fragrance oil and pour into the silicone mould. Glycerine soap base - 99 g Coconut fragrance oil - 1 g Ultramarine purple - Add according to your choice 4) Mica Shimmer Soap Wanted to make sparkle pink soap but used the same ultramarine container so the ultramarine and mica got mixed together and gives a different purple colour to the soap . Here I used 2 soap bases together glycerine and goat milk soap base. Soap base - 99 g Your choice of fragrance oil - 1 g I added purenso rose mica I loved the shade Cut the soap base into small pieces and melt it using the double boiler method. Sprinkle the mica and fragrance oil and pour into the silicone mould. 5 ) Clay Soap To Colour Soaps Naturally Here I used french green clay to colour the soaps naturally you can use any kinds of clays to colour soaps. Goat milk soap base - 97 g French green clay - 2 g Tea tree essential oil - 1 g Cut the soap base into small pieces and melt it using the double boiler method. Add the clay and fragrance oil and pour into the silicone mould. Always premix your clay so it won't cause clumps in your soap. 6) Vanilla Soap I love vanilla very much so I made a vanilla soap for myself but there is a problem with vanilla because vanilla discolours a lot in the melt pour soap. It turns from creamy white to tan to brown colour. There is no vanilla essential oil exist in the market All you see is whether a fragrance oil or concentrate or absolute of vanilla. Goat milk soap base - 99 g Vanilla Fragrance Oil - 1 g I have explained a reel why vanilla and what is the compound causing the discoloration in the soaps in my melt pour soap series .
