Hinduism: Why so many different philosophies?
Hinduism has the broadest range of philosophical ideas. There are theistic and non theistic traditions, those that see God as personal and impersonal. The reason for this variety is that different Masters have contacted different facets of the ultimate reality and delivered descriptions of it. These descriptions provide a framework for the mind to be guided to the same first hand experience of these Masters. In this video we focus on Vedanta and describe the different schools from the great acharays (Shankara, Ramanuja, Madva), and explain how each one has approached the ultimate reality in very different ways. This sophisticated setup has allowed seekers to approach Truth in a way that suits their nature.
