I felt like I'd never be cheerful again

I find brilliant how JK Rowling depicted it, making up creatures who bring up such feelings. Even though they're fictional species, they make us think of a real world issue, from a different perspective. Sometimes it's good to look at things from new viewpoints; when we're so into something, we can't see things clearly. When I'm in such a mindset, where everything turns black and cold, where happiness and hope are gone and where joy and serenity seem a mirage, I try to approach to it thinking there's a powerful force around me that play with my mind, giving me twisted thoughts. We should never trust that force. It doesn't want our good. It's easier said than done, especially when you're in such a mindset, because you're convinced that everything has always been this terrible and that it will always be that way. We need to find a way to give those thoughts less power, though. I guess it comes from time (it depends on the situation: sometimes it's not just about time), I don't have an answer, I'm still trying to figure this all shit out, but if you're reading this and it sounds familiar to you, please know you're not alone and you can fight this. We can do it. Allegorically speaking, dementors won't win.
