Polish your Animation for Feature Film (Maya 2019)
Hi Everyone in this animation tutorial, i decide to show you how i polish my animation to take the quality to the next level. since there is a lot to do i decide to focus only on the Spine and the Head of the character. Once you understand my approach you can apply this to the rest of the body and Facial as well the way i approach Polish is this: 1) add overlapping and overshoot to the controller of your character 2) clean the arc of your hip, upper spine, head, nose 3) improve the rotation for XYZ for every controller and offset them if need it 4) add squash and stretch 5) use the controller behind the spine to reduce the stiffness Keep in mind that this level of Polish should be done only once your blocking plus is very solid, and you already master your body mechanics i hope you can learn something from this tutorial and improve the quality of your own animation. character rig is provided by Animation Mentor
