Boat Build Progress: Installing Stringers & The Hull Takes Shape! | Free Range Boat Build Stage 15
It’s been a while since our last boat update, thanks to our side business keeping us flat out. (We discussed that in the last episode) Our apologies, but we hope you understand. In this video, the frames are finally all in place, and we’ve just installed the chine stringer and the first of many hull stringers—big steps toward bringing this John Welsford 'Pathfinder' design to life. There's some handy techniques for transferring lengths and angles from the project to wood for spot-on cuts, I share my thoughts on the upside to laminating the stringers and a few challenges we wrestled with this time around. Want to share a favourite trick for precision in a project like this? Drop us a line in the comments—we’d love to hear from you!
