Presenter: Ivette Seguel Biologist, Master of Science in Plant Breeding. With over 25 years of research experience, her professional career has focused on the conservation, domestication, and genetic improvement of native species. She has led eleven Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) projects. She developed the two varieties of Chilean guava (Ugni molinae) currently available on the market and led the development of the technological package for their cultivation. She has a significant number of scientific and outreach publications and extensive experience in technology transfer. She is currently the manager of INNOVALIMENTOS, where she continues the development and enhancement of our native species. This seminar was held in the Aysén Region, thanks to our "Promotion of Fruit Development for Family Farming" Program and funding from the Aysén Regional Government.
