SEGA's Ultimate Betrayal: SONIC the Hedgehog

Welcome to a tale where I explain Sega's original betrayal to Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog fans. When the Mega Drive/Genesis was released, it was Sonic that finally put the system over, driving it toward becoming a culture phenomenon. Year after year, it was hit after hit with Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles (aka Sonic 3 and Knuckles). Also, Sonic Spinball. Then, Sega disappeared. The Sonic Cycle hit and we were left with the scraps of Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic R.
