It’s an independent boutique on a medieval street called The Shambles that allows you to shop for their adorable York Ghosts. The only catch is that you could wait over 3 hours in a queue before you get inside the shop as it’s extremely popular and often goes viral on social media. The business runs on the traditions imposed by The Sorrowful Guild of Master Ghost Makers and the entire shopping experience has a hauntingly cosy aesthetic. I waited for over an hour in the rain to shop for ghosts on my recent trip to York. But, was it worth it?
