The Lessons We Learned From Hosting Tens of Thousands of Sauna Sessions | Behind the Build

After years of hosting guests in our original social sauna, the one that started it all, we’ve learned what makes a truly unforgettable sauna experience. Now, we’re taking those lessons and applying them to our new 40ft social sauna, currently under construction in Superior, Wisconsin. Every decision in this build reflects years of real-world sauna operation: how guests gather, transition, and rest. With a spacious changing area, lockers, vestibule for towels, water, and service, and a large hot room powered by dual IKI ‪@iki-sauna-heaters‬ wood-fired stoves, this sauna is built to elevate the guest experience while shaping the saunas we design for homes and businesses nationwide. Clad in beautiful matte black from ‪@RichliteCompany‬ finished with Zia Tile, and framed by ‪@H_Window‬ overlooking the Lake Superior Harbor, this project represents the next chapter of Cedar & Stone craftsmanship.
