We have traditionally known autism as a condition prevalent in boys. We have always believed that girls are much less frequently on the autism spectrum. However, today, documentation is emerging worldwide showing that this is not true. In fact, due to this belief, at least two generations of women are now suffering the consequences of this untreated condition, which translates into a host of mental health challenges.
