Die Wahrheit über Flüssigmetall: Dieser Gaming-PC ist tot.

Description 🔧 Smartronik Repair Service (Advertisement) ➡️ https://www.smartronik-repair.de/ In this video, I examine an expensive Asus gaming laptop that keeps crashing with an unknown error during Windows 11 installation. After initially checking the installed Samsung 980 Pro and 990 Evo Plus SSDs using CrystalDiskInfo and systematically ruling out a RAM defect by testing each module individually, my troubleshooting leads me directly to the BIOS. There, the hardware monitor displays a completely atypical and extremely high CPU temperature of almost 80°C at idle. Upon removing the heatsink, I discover the actual problem: The processor is cooled by liquid metal, which has become unevenly distributed over time. A massive, oxidized heat spot has formed in the center of the chip, meaning the processor is no longer being cooled at all in that area. I'll show you step-by-step how to safely remove the dangerous liquid metal using isopropanol and a syringe, without risking short circuits on the motherboard, and how to then apply new thermal paste from Thermal Grizzly and Arctic MX-4, as well as fresh liquid metal. Although the cooling performance is restored after reassembly and the temperatures in the BIOS drop to a normal 60 to 70°C, the Windows installation still fails. Unfortunately, the persistent hotspot has already caused a permanent internal defect in the chip. Find out in the video why I ultimately have to declare this high-end gaming laptop dead and why liquid metal often poses a significant risk in practice. ________________________________________ 🛠️ More tech content in short format!
