Rąbią, piłują i rżną przed zimą w Bronowie

Winter won't catch Bronów by surprise – at least not for Agnieszka and Jarosław Rogalski. Preparations for the heating season are in full swing at their hosts' house. "I'm going to get the saw! We'll chop, saw, and cut!" Jarosław announces enthusiastically. The Rogalskis are a close-knit duo, though sometimes each has their own opinion on how to organize the work. "And where do you want to put it?" Agnieszka asks. "I think it's on your side of the bed," Jarek replies with a smile, shuffling more pieces of wood. "Then leave me at least two nice stumps; I'll have them for the flowers!" The basement is already full of wood, but there's plenty of work to do. "We still need to tear out the old floors in the kitchen because we're starting to renovate the living room and dining room," the hostess explains. In Bronów, preparing for winter is not only physical labor but also an organizational challenge. There's plenty of wood, but space is dwindling. "There's no room, no supplies – bad." And when there's a lot of goods, it's even worse," Jarosław concludes. The farmer adds that "winter doesn't surprise the prepared." Their wood is already seasoned, ready to burn. "We're splitting the wet wood now so we have it ready for next year," he explains. "Because when the frost comes, there won't be time to chop it." He adds with a smile, looking at the yard full of wood: "It's good that it's under a roof, so we can chop all night long."
