LA RUTA DEL ADOBE - De Tinogasta a Fiambalá

The Adobe Route is a 50 km circuit that runs from Tinogasta to the entrance of Fiambalá, along National Route 60 (formerly Provincial Route 45) in Argentina. It gets its name from the fact that almost all of its main buildings and many of its family homes are solidly and aesthetically well-constructed with adobe, thanks to the climate, which often creates interesting architectural effects. In 2002, the Senate of the Province of Catamarca declared it a Cultural and Tourist Heritage Site.² This circuit includes seven sites whose common element is adobe: Casagrande, Adobe Hotel, Tinogasta (1897); Cultural Center, Tinogasta; Orquera Oratory, El Puesto (ca. 1710); Manor House (ca. 1687) and Chapel (ca. 1712) in Anillaco; and the Watungasta Ruins, Anillaco (11th century). - XV) Church of Our Lady of Andacollo, La Falda.
