2023 Fall Foliage Dual Sport Tour on the KPX 250 & VStrom 650

Each year the Georgia Recreational Trail Riders Association (gartra.org) puts on a Fall Folliage ride right about the time the leaves change. The ride starts from the Tiger drive in theater, where you can camp the night before and watch a movie. There's a bathroom and snack bar (no electric hookups or anything for campers). The ride starts with check-in at 8am, then bikes start leaving around 8:30. We returned around 5pm (we were in the slower crowd). Myself and Rob rode the 2022 Lifan KPX 250s and adopted a friend Marc on his VStrom 650. Marc had never been off-road but never let that bike touch the ground! The route is 125 miles and includes probably 80 miles of off-road riding through forest service roads, gravel roads, dirt roads, creek crossing, and one difficult section 'walking-stick'.
