Wrapping a pattern using the warp tool tutorial digital art tips

how to wrap a photo texture or pattern around an object in Photoshop using the warp tool. We then take a quick look at some different layer modes to see what effect we can get whilst keeping the information from the layer below ( The lighting and shading ). The example I use in this video is folds in clothing, using the warp tool to shape the pattern around the folds, but you can use this technique in tons of different ways! In the second example I keep the layer set to 'normal' instead of 'exclude' and then I just manually paint, using the dodge tool and the burn tool, any shadows and highlights to match the clothing on the layer below. The effects I get on camera are quite subtle as I was going for something realistic, but you can get some really funky effects if you play around with it :) I did find this one quite complicated to record/explain clearly for some reason, but hopefully it makes sense and you can pick up some tips from the tutorial.
