How to make a paper bonsai maple tree

Hundreds of leaves, dozens of branches, and of course the box and roots and critters... it's probably a 24+ hour project, but a lot of the folding can be done while listening to podcasts, watching TV, etc. The maple leaf uses the crane base and requires about the same amount of time to fold. This version of the maple leaf is my own adaptation of a simpler, easier to fold version.
