Full Hotel Tour & Review of The Westin Hotel Downtown, Chattanooga, TN

Filmed June 2018. This is the hotel I stayed at on my way up to Pigeon Forge when I went in June of 2018. I cannot believe this video is now a year old LOL. Note that when I went to Pigeon Forge last year, I stayed in a Cabin with family members, not a Hotel, and I drove all the way back home on my way back, so this is the only hotel tour from this trip. Overall, this is a VERY NICE, BEAUTIFUL, and AWESOME Hotel!!! While not as fun or funky like the Chattanooga Choo Choo, which is my favorite hotel in the Chattanooga area (which I do have a video of here:    • STAYING IN A TRAIN CAR! Full Hotel Tour & ...  ) This place is still a pretty close 2nd and holds it's own, as it is located Centrally in Downtown unlike the Choo Choo, It's more modern and more ideal for business travelers, and it has a BEAUTIFUL, UNIQUE Divided Atrium layout, and was designed by my favorite modern architect!!!! None other than, Mr. John Portman!!! Unlike other Portman Hotels however, this place wasn't always a hotel. It was originally built in 1969 as the Blue Cross Office Building/Gold Building, but was converted to this hotel in December of 2017. Being this conversion was recent and I stayed in June of 2018, the rooms were all new and state of the art, being they were all gutted offices and turned into hotel rooms, but they also managed to keep the Portman Atrium design and glass elevators the same, and as a result, they did an AMAZING Job renovating this building!!!! The restaurant was great, the beds were SO COMFY I nearly slept like the DEAD on them, the location is great, the architecture is amazing, the staff was friendly, the room was SPOTLESS and overall, just an all around FANTASTIC Hotel!!!!! The rooms were modern, but the fixtures were high quality and the place smelled good and didn't feel cheaply built, and overall, just an EXCELLENT Hotel, that I would HIGHLY recommend!!!! Plus, the views are AMAZING!!! I'd HIGHLY recommend this hotel, especially if you don't like the idea of sleeping in a train car and want a more modern room in the Chattanooga area, want to be Centrally in Downtown and Love John Portman buildings!!! That all being said, enjoy the tour and review of this BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING Office Building Turned Hotel designed originally designed by the architect who designed the FAMOUS Marriott Marquis!!!!
