First EGG Laid, 3rd Brood: Bluebird Nest Cam LIVE Nest Cam Eastern Blue Birds

Take a look inside the nest box of Rosie & Blue, Eastern Bluebirds raising their chicks. NEST NOTES BELOW: Nest box is in Chattanooga, TN. 06/30/26 This is the first time that Rosie & Blue have built a nest 2 days after the baby has fledged. 1 of 2 things have happened. 1. They have lots of time feeding only 1 baby. OR 2. The baby has not made it. We have been on the lookout for Rosie & Blue with the one baby. 06/26/26 Cleaned nest box. Rosie & Blue have started building a third nest. 06/24/26 One baby fledged. 06/10/26 A chick has died, Rosie removes chick. 06/07/26 Two eggs hatched. 05/25/26 Start to sit on eggs. 05/24/26 Five eggs are in this brood. 05/23/26 Fourth egg is here. 05/22/26 Third egg is here. 05/21/26 Second egg has arrived. 05/20/26 First egg laid today. Second brood. 05/13/26 Rosie & Blue start bringing in nest materials. Cleaned out the nest and it is ready for the next brood. About Bluebirds: Incubation starts after the last egg is laid. Eggs will hatch after about 13-14 days. After hatching, the young bluebirds will remain in the nest for about 15 days. They will be brooded by either the mom or dad every day and night until they’re fully feathered. During this time the babies will be fed by both parent birds. Once the baby birds fledge, they do not return to the nest. Fledgling Stage – At the end of the nestling timeframe, the young birds will fly from the nest. They will be fed by the parent birds for about another 7 to 14 days. During this time, you will see them around the vicinity of the nest. Very soon after the brood has left and is on their own the parent birds will start the nesting cycle over.
