Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed a massive public gathering in Dadyal, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, ahead of the AJK Legislative Assembly elections. In his speech, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the current situation in Azad Jammu & Kashmir is a test for the Government of AJK, the Government of Pakistan, and all political parties. He emphasized that the responsibility of politicians is to represent the people, raise their voices from Muzaffarabad to Islamabad and across the world, and work to solve public problems. He stressed that politics is about public service—not merely gaining power. The PPP Chairman also stated that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, any protest that disrupts the supply of essential goods, including food, fuel, and medicines to Azad Jammu & Kashmir, ultimately harms the people rather than governments. Reaffirming the Pakistan Peoples Party's longstanding position on Kashmir, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said PPP has consistently struggled for the rights and self-governance of the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. He reiterated the party's support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and said that as Pakistan's Foreign Minister, he raised the Kashmir issue at international forums, including during his visit to India. He added that PPP's struggle for Kashmir has continued for three generations and will continue for generations to come until justice is achieved. He maintained that the Pakistan Peoples Party remains committed to securing the constitutional, political, and democratic rights of the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
