Fallout'a İlham Veren Hikaye: Leibowitz İçin Bir İlahi (Türkçe)

"A Canticle for Leibowitz," a collection of three short stories by Walter M. Miller Jr., published in 1959, is a science fiction novel with Catholic Christian and post-apocalyptic themes. Beginning centuries after the nuclear war known as the "Flame Storm," the novel explores humanity's evolution and re-enactment over time. While initially presenting a post-war universe, it gradually shifts to a medieval-style narrative, eventually depicting a new technological age. Each chapter contains references to real-world history. The 1997 novel, "Saint Leibowitz and the Wild Horse Woman," expands this universe. The character Leibowitz, after whom the books are named, was an electrical engineer before the nuclear war, but after the war he joined a monastery, became a priest, and dedicated his life to saving humanity's pre-war knowledge, books, and other technologies. Over time, the monks in the monastery he founded also followed in their founder's footsteps, dedicating themselves to preserving knowledge. This universe, over time, became an inspiration for other post-apocalyptic universes. For example, when the Fallout universe was being created, the Brotherhood of Steel group was entirely inspired by the monks in the novel A Divine Presence for Leibowitz who preserved ancient world knowledge. Then, the Brotherhood of Steel, which we all know, was formed, protecting technology. In this documentary, you will hear the story of *A Divine Presence for Leibowitz*, one of my personal favorite post-apocalyptic fictions, learn the story of *The Wild Horse Woman*, discover the philosophical themes in the book, and get to know this epic universe.
