Our Batteries Were Dying… Then We Found Paradise

After spending a couple of great nights exploring Hua Hin, we continued sailing south through the Gulf of Thailand. Our first day underway couldn’t have gone much better. We found a quiet little fishing village, anchored nearby, headed ashore for dinner, and gave the pups a chance to run around and play. The following morning, we were up before sunrise and sailing south again—but then the generator began having problems. Without it, we couldn’t recharge the boat’s propulsion batteries, and our remaining power continued to drop. We needed somewhere calm and protected where we could stop and work on the boat, so we diverted into a nearby bay. What we found was an absolute paradise—crystal-clear water, incredible scenery, and one of the most beautiful anchorages of the entire trip. The boat may have forced us to change our plans, but this was one diversion we were very glad we made.
