Aharonian (Premiere performance in Armenia) Haik Davtian (violin) and Arthur Aharonyan (piano), a virtuoso duet from France after a long break appeared before the Armenian audience on July 25, 2012 at the Special Events Auditorium of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts with a concert dedicated to the famous Armenian composer Eduard Baghdasaryan's 90th Anniversary. Haik and Arthur are bearers of the best Armenian academic music. They both studied in parallel at the violin, piano and composition classes of the Yerevan State Conservatory. Their first creative collaboration took place in 1990, when Haik led Arhur's chamber opera and a year later they performed together in Paris. In 1993 they released their first CD and in 1996, after gaining the highest acclaim at the Pierre Lantie International Chamber Music Competition they released their second CD. Nowadays, Haik Davtian leads a violin class at Strasbourg's (France) Conservatory. He is also the Artistic Director and a Conductor of the French Nairi Ensemble. Arthur Aharonyan, an award winner of Golden Star Southern California Motion Picture Council of Hollywood prize, composes in many genres. His compositions include pieces of beautiful instrumental compositions up to big symphonic and concert compositions.
