We are not lost. We are here.

The artwork is a short film about living in the present moment as a way to handle life’s difficulties. Themes of mindfulness and kindness encourage people to stop during busy times, enjoy the present, and share happiness with loved ones. The artist shares her own experience of caring for her father with Alzheimer’s disease, along with her feelings and worries. She invites others to share their thoughts on what it means to live in the present and their concerns about the past or future. Such a strong experience brings intense feelings and tiredness, as thoughts, voices, and emotions mix in a nearly unbearable way. It is important to breathe slowly to calm the mind and help the body stay in the here and now, recognising that moments of connection, like a hug or a silent kiss, are the only way to be together and to face difficult emotions.
