Raid on Entebbe: Israel seeks better ties with Uganda

http://www.ntvuganda.co.ug/ Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister is in the Country for a two day official visit to strengthen business ties between Israel and Uganda. Minister Daniel Ayalon arrived at Entebbe airport this afternoon and laid a wreath at the Old Entebbe airport to commemorate the life of the late Israeli commander - Lieutenant Colonel Yonathan Netanyahu - who was killed in the 1976 Entebbe Raid by a Ugandan army sniper. Netanyahu was killed in action on July 4, 1976 while commanding Operation at Entebbe. He was the only Israeli soldier killed during the raid along with three hostages, all of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine members, and dozens of Ugandan soldiers.
