Step 1: Stay 75 days in Brazil - you can only apply for the extension in your final 15 days Step 2: Attempt to book an appointment on this website to schedule a meeting to extend your stay https://servicos.dpf.gov.br/agenda-we... Step 3: If appointment booking site doesn’t work in Step 2, use this website to contact your Brazilian State to check if you can just walk into their office without an appointment to get the extension: https://www.gov.br/pf/pt-br/acesso-a-... Step 4: Create a GRU file using this link: https://servicos.pf.gov.br/gru2/gru?n... Step 5: Print your GRU file Step 6: Make sure you have 110.44 reais IN PHYSICAL CASH! Step 7: Go to a bank - any Brazilian bank - say that you need to make a GRU payment. Pay them with your 110.44 reais cash. You will then receive a payment receipt - don’t lose this! Step 8: email your state Migration department (section 1.3 on the website link at Step 3) to check if you need any additional documents to take with you to the Policia Federal - other than your Passport and you GRU receipt Step 9: Head to the Policia Federal Foreigner office and give them your passport and GRU receipt.
