Flight of Melancholy is truly one of those songs that you can listen to over and over and just feel...well...melancholic. It uses a shepherd's tone, which, if you don't know what that means, is basically an auditory illusion that sounds like a pitch is endlessly rising or falling, but it never actually goes anywhere. It is essentially the "sonic version" of a barber pole or an Escher staircase. I used it to bring a feeling and to hypnotize the mind. When this happens, the bass drops in the song sound powerful and deep. The breakdowns are very sweet and well thought out to bring you to a wonderful feeling inside. I hope you guys enjoy this one.
