Heading down the coast to the beautiful region of Salalah. Join us on this fun adventure and see what it's like to travel here as a solo female with a dog. ** Note this trip was over 2 years ago- just editing it now :D A big reason why I decided to do this trip with Winston and film the video, was to show the companionship of a dog and the many BLESSINGS they are to us. Many Muslims ( and I know from living in Oman for 13 years) are afraid of dogs or think they are "dirty" due to some highly MISUNDERSTOOD stories in the Hadiths (Islamic scholar books). Due to these human misinterpretations , many Muslims believe they cannot touch a dog or have them in their homes. A lot of fear has gathered from this passed down from generations and I wanted to help break the stigma and show just how beautiful this creation of God is. There is NOTHING in the Quran that states that a dogs saliva is dirty or that they cannot enter homes. God gave us a gifted brain to use our own earthly and Divine knowledge to look deeper into the teachings. We are to use wisdom and discernment in our journey, not to follow blindly because we were told to without ever questioning anything or knowing the deeper reasons for ourselves. Go DEEPER, Live with intention, LOVE fiercely ALL creatures of Creation, always ask questions, and you will find the truth. ** I hope this beautiful video shows a different perspective for you and I'm so happy to share that Winston was loving excepted by ALL people who met him.
