Będzin Wojkowice Nieistniejącym Szlakiem Linii Tramwajowej nr. 25- Dwa Słońca

The history of the Będzin-Wojkowice tram connection has finally come to an end. The tracks used by the discontinued line 25 have been dismantled, and in its wake, a bicycle path has been built along part of the route. Public transport passengers are now transported by an old bus. Following the closure of several tram routes in the final years of the 2000s, line 25, connecting Dąbrowa Górnicza with Wojkowice and Żychcice, disappeared from the Upper Silesian tram network in 2006. This resulted in a complete suspension of service between Będzin and the Żychcice terminus. Instead of the 105N trams, passengers were transported by buses from a new line, bearing numbers taken from the trams. The agony of the section to Grodziec lasted several months longer. In June, the 4N tram was introduced on the shortened Będzin Muzeum – Grodziec Kopalnia route. However, only a few trips per day failed to attract passengers, and the line was closed again. Eight years after the suspension of traffic to Wojkowice and seven years after the end of the connection with Grodziec, it is difficult to reconstruct the route on many sections of the route without knowing the history after the end of traffic – the track was dismantled and the power grid was dismantled.
