City of Toronto Modular Housing

MOD X highlights the work of Abi Bond, Executive Director of the Housing Secretariat, City of Toronto. Utilizing modular construction, Toronto is working to house homeless populations through "rapid and dignified" solutions. Abi discusses the increase in homeless population during the pandemic and the city's investment in 7 modular housing projects as part of a larger housing investment effort and partnerships with provincial and federal programs. She ends with a discussion on the challenges and lessons learned from this program thus far.
