Injured at Defi Wind | Now I'm Back on the Water

I tore a muscle at Défi Wind 2026 and left Gruissan in an ambulance. Two weeks later, I clipped into the harness, gripped the boom, and went back out. This is my windsurfing comeback session — the first time on the water since the injury. In this windsurf video, I break down exactly how the session felt, what my body could (and couldn't) do, and the GPS speed data from my first serious speedsurfing run back. I clocked 42 km/h — not my fastest, but after a muscle tear recovery, every kilometer per hour on the water counts. This isn't a how to windsurf tutorial. It's a story about getting back on the board after an injury — for anyone in extreme sports, watersports, or windsurf who's ever dealt with a setback. Windsurf isn't always forgiving — but on days like this, when the wind fills in and the waves pick up, it reminds me exactly why I do this. The road to 40 knots continues. Thanks to WEONE Switzerland for the support.
