The Pir Harisht shrine is a Zoroastrian shrine that belongs to one of the maidservants of the daughter of the Sassanid Yazdgerd III named Morvarid (in some narrations, Gohar Banu). It is said that after being chased by the Arabs who had invaded Iran, she separated from the caravan and took refuge in a place where she prayed to God and suddenly disappeared. After many years, Gohar Banu appeared to a child and asked him to ask his father to build Pir Harisht. Anecdotes also indicate that the reason Zoroastrians believe in this place is the disappearance of this maidservant.
