CAT 60 + Euclid Tracked Bottom Dump Wagon - Lakeside Sand + Gravel - April 27, 2024

1925 Cat 60, with some later year parts, pulling a Euclid tracked bottom dump wagon. Note that the wagon track is loose, with tall guides. This was a common design 100 years ago, also commonly used on logging arches. It had an advantage in the woods, that if a track got hung up on a log, it could flip over and ride over the log. The box is 9' long x 5' wide at mid height x 3' high = 5 cu yards. In use, one Cat 60 would pull a train of these wagons, with a couple riders that would trip the dump, and ratchet the bottom doors closed. You can see the dump at 1:46. Each rider would operate several wagons, jumping on and off, and trying to not get run over. Pre-OSHA. On the restart, it finally starts at 5:25.
