Spain celebrates launch of euro and New year

Various of people in the Square and more Euro signs STORYLINE: Revellers gathered in Madrid's Porta del Sol square on Monday to usher in the new year and celebrate the arrival of the euro. Fireworks and music were just part of the festivities which greeted the official changeover to the new currency. Curious party goers queued to be among the first to get the new notes out of the Automated Cash Machines (A-T-M). Spain was one of twelve countries that welcomed the euro at midnight on Monday.
