1066 Re-enactment | Pevensey & Hastings Castle | Norman Invasion
In this episode, I travel to some of the earliest Norman strongholds in England. Shot in October 2025. We explore the story of William The Conqueror and the events of 1066 — including the Battle of Hastings re-enactment — before visiting Hastings Castle and Pevensey Castle, where the Norman Conquest first took physical shape. From Roman fortifications reused by invaders, to early Norman castle building, this is where England changed forever. Locations featured: Battle (Battle Abbey & battlefield) Hastings Castle Pevensey Castle I’m not a historian — just someone with a passion for castles, history and exploring the stories behind them.
