[Artist Profile] Roger Dale Brown

Roger Dale Brown, a plein air and studio artist in the heartland of America. He had shown good art potential at the very young age. But didn't pursuit as an artist in the beginning of his career. However, after some unfortunate events, he got a chance to meet an artist, and became the assistant to the artist. The path changed then. He attended a plein air event and workshop, the instructor asked everyone to set goals. He set to paint 365 plein air paintings a year. He came short only by 15 paintings, With 350 plein air paintings for the first year, and did 330 paintings for the second year. He learned so much, he became very comfortable with his skills. He enjoys Sergent and the old masters like Sorolla. You can understand his paintings has the similar qualities to the masters. However, his paintings carry some moodiness, and quietness. WIth the muted color palette profiles, he creates some wonderful nature and landscape plein air paintings and the studio paintings. Both he and his wife are dedicated Christians, two professional artists, enjoy traveling together in God created nature, and enjoy the presents of each other.
