MMU BRIDGES ACADEMIA & PRACTICE THROUGH STUDENT FARMER PLACEMENT INITIATIVES IN THE RWENZORI REGION

Discover how Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) is redefining agricultural education by taking learning beyond the classroom and into real farming communities. In this video, follow four third-year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture students Sekirime Herbert, Kabugho Mackline, Asiimawe Christine, and Isaac Musinguzi as they undertake a two-month internship at Kamaata Farm Enterprise in Kyenjojo District. Through hands-on training in crop production, livestock management, dairy farming, soil testing, disease diagnosis, farm record keeping, and agribusiness management, these students are developing the practical skills required to become competent agricultural professionals. The internship reflects MMU's long-standing commitment to Competence Based Education and Training (CBET), bridging academic knowledge with real-world experience while preparing graduates to solve the challenges facing modern agriculture.
