The Prelude and Fugue in F Minor op. 7 no. 2 by Marcel Dupré, played by Yves Castagnet on the organ of Notre-Dame de Paris. Prelude - 0:00 Fugue - 6:06 Marcel Dupré was one of the greatest organists of the 20th century. An esteemed virtuoso, having given recitals of the complete works of Bach by memory, his teaching at the Paris Conservatoire established the standard French organ technique which is still important today. This prelude is probably the least played of the three, but perhaps the most beautiful. Yves Castagnet does an incredible job capturing the delicacy and subtlety of this prelude, contrasting to the dazzling virtuosity of the other two in the set.
