A Volvo FH truck arrived for repairs under its own power. The engine was running poorly, and it was malfunctioning. Initial diagnostics revealed a lack of compression in cylinders 3 and 4. We initially suspected that the Volvo FH truck had burnt valves, so we removed the valve cover to get a full picture. We immediately discovered two broken valves, a broken injector, and a broken nozzle on one of the injectors. We couldn't inspect the cylinder with an endoscope because the bore was clogged with something (remnants of a broken valve). After removing the cylinder head, it was discovered that the cylinder head was broken (a broken valve had struck the piston against the cylinder head). However, we did not immediately find any valve remnants (valve heads). Therefore, we took all possible measures to search for the valves (their remains in the D12A engine). Remnants were found in the manifold. Next, it was discovered that the liner of the third cylinder was also broken; its parts were found in the oil pan.
