TAT2025 Day 18

TAT 2025 Day 18 September 4 (Thursday) Lake City, CO to Monticello, UT [191 miles] We started the day early at 7am due to a planned multiple mountain pass day. It was a chilly 44 deg f, the coldest we had seen on the trip. We hit Cinnamon Pass, Animas Forks ghost town. At Animas Forks ghost town Jason had his turn at dropping his bike in a slow speed turn around. We carried on with California Pass, Hurricane Pass and Corkscrew pass. Finally we crossed Ophir pass then headed into Telluride for lunch and had a couple other lower passes to drop into the Utah desert. Heavy rain and hail caused us to divert south a bit to go through Delores/Cortez on our way to Monticello. 0:00 - Introduction 0:32 - Cinnamon Pass 2:42 - The Moose is Loose! 3:03 - Cinnamon Switchbacks 9:29 - Going to California 10:33 - Hurricanes, not only in Florida? 12:02 - Wild ride down the Corkscrew 14:36 - Two Wheel Millionaires 15:11 - Oh Fear Pass 16:30 - No Fear Pass 16:42 - FOOD! 16:50 - Going Down 17:48 - No just a Kia 18:13 - What the Hail? 21:15 - Conclusion
