In this video, we show you how to replace brake pads on your Volvo. We use and show you how to do on a Volvo 740 model 90 in this video. This guide can be used on the Volvo 240 and 940. We will soon visit the car inspection with this 740 and something is scratching while driving. One guess is that dirt or gravel may have ended between the brake pads. It was a while since I replaced the brake pads on this car so it was time to do it. We also take care of clean sliding surfaces and sliding sticks. To accommodate them with new brake pads, we need a little more space and therefore we have to push back the brake pistons slightly. Before pushing back brakes, try to clean as much as possible before getting dirt behind and under the piston dust cover. To prevent rust from laying on sliding surfaces again, we use copper paste in these places. The sliding pins get new lubrication of silicone grease. When we are still replacing brake pads, we look over the brake hose and make these new ones again. We also encounter a problem with the lower slider stick. However, we get to fix this again.
