Conversations with Bob Woodson | Woodson Center's 44th Anniversary

From Bob Woodson: "For me, this occasion is deeply personal. Born into segregation, I witnessed firsthand the strength and dignity of families and communities who refused to be defined by oppression. I chose self-determination over grievance—a conviction summed up in my belief that 'we must be the agents of our own uplift.' For more than four decades, the Woodson Center has championed ordinary heroes who, by their grit and grace, restore hope to neighborhoods across our nation." This gathering featured a powerful dialogue with Jason Riley, the acclaimed Wall Street Journal columnist and one of the most thoughtful voices in the country on race, culture, and public policy. He is the author of several influential books, including Please Stop Helping Us, False Black Power? and Maverick: A Biography of Thomas Sowell. Also joining the panel was Will Crossley, President of The Piney Woods School—America’s oldest Black boarding school and a shining example of what enduring institutions rooted in faith, discipline, and excellence can achieve.
