Please Like, Share, and Subscribe to Bojanam for more traditional and homestyle recipes. 🙏❤️‪@Bojanam‬ Palakkai Green Masala Gravy | Raw Jackfruit Gravy Ingredients Raw jackfruit (Palakkai) – 500 g Onion – 3 medium (chopped) Tomato – 1 (chopped) Curry leaves – 1 sprig Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp Salt – as needed Oil – 2 tbsp To Pressure Cook Jackfruit pieces ¼ tsp turmeric powder Little salt Water as needed Cook for 2 whistles and drain excess water. To Grind Fresh coriander leaves – 1 cup Garlic – 4 to 5 cloves Green chillies – 3 to 4 Cocount ( if u want Optional ) Little water Grind into a smooth green paste. Tempering Oil – 2 tbsp Cumin seeds Or Shajeera – 1 tsp Method Cut and clean the raw jackfruit into cubes. Pressure cook with turmeric, salt and water for 2 whistles. Grind coriander leaves, garlic and green chillies into a fine paste. Heat oil in a kadai and lightly fry the cooked jackfruit pieces until slightly golden. Remove and keep aside. In the same kadai add cumin seeds. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Add the ground green masala paste and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Add salt and a little water if required. Add the fried jackfruit pieces and mix well. Cook for 5–7 minutes until the masala coats the jackfruit. Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot.
