Enoch Saw the Throne of God — and It Was Too Bright to Describe

The old text says a living man was carried past the edge of the sky, up through the heavens, to the foot of a throne no eye was made to look upon. A house of crystal whose floor was fire. A second house greater than the first. And upon the throne, a glory brighter than the sun and whiter than any snow - that the text will not even give a face, naming it only the Great Glory. This is the vision the prophets after him would echo and the tradition would call the chariot-throne.
